I'm HOME!

Okay, we got back from camping yesterday, and it was really AWESOME. Here are some of the pros:
I didn't have to share a trailer with my brother( I love him as a brother... he's just not the kind of person you want to share a trailer with for a week.)

Weather was perfect

I got to go kayaking AND snorkeling!!

The scenery was BEAUTIFUL

Now, there wasn't much of a downside, except that:

I got a dead crab dropped down my shirt. :( Ick.

The public bathrooms were closed because the septic tank was having problems. Instead, they had these porta-potties called "The Wizard of Ooze". Meep!

We had to drive down to the other campground to shower, and campground showers are RARELY clean. For those of you who don't know, Deception Pass State Park has two campgrounds; The smaller, quieter one, Bowman Bay, and the large, popular one, Cranberry Lake. The septic system at Cranberry Lake was fine, it was just Bowman Bay that had issues.

One thing that was REALLY cool was that there is a Nancy drew game (See previous post) called "Danger on Deception Island", and you could see Deception Island perfectly from the bach by our campsite! Another awesome thing was how you can get to the beach. You can take the boring old path, or you can CLIMB your way down. There is a small cliff that is covered in tree roots that you can use to hike down to the beach. My friend and I also found a "House" in the woods. The tree branches, rocks, and ground were forming rooms, hallways, beds, doors, and even a walk in closet! We had a basement, too, and even though a part of the "Staircase" caved in, you could still go down CAREFULLY, or just walk up from outside the back door. We even did an open house! My mom told me that she used to do that in the woods by her house in Des Moines, before she and her friends/siblings realized that a murderer had been hiding bodies a few miles away. TTFN!

Camping Makes me HAPPY

'Sup, my homey G's? Okay, homies have nothing to do with spending a week in the woods, but frankly, I don't really care. XD So, as far as spending a week in the woods goes, on Sunday we're leaving on a 6 hour+ drive to Deception Pass. It's giong to be really fabulous! We are taking along one of my friends, because her mom didn't want to go but my friend kinda did, and we'll be sharing a tent. Lucky for me, she doesn't snore.:) My parents and brother are sharing a trailer with electricity and a t.v, so I'm taking along our PS2 and an American Idol game to play when we're not fishing, sleeping, or anything outdoors-y. We might take a laptop, so I might blog if I can get internet access. Peace out!

Oh, BTW, if you're looking for something really fun to do over the summer, check out HERINTERACTIVE'S NANCY DREW PC GAMES. They are SOOOO AWESOME!! Basically, you pop the disc in your computer, and suddenly, you become Nancy Drew, stepping into her shoes and solving a bunch of awesome mysteries. You get to explore the towns she's in, investigate crime scenes, question suspects, and sneak around when no one's looking. My favorite games are Warnings at Waverly Academy, the Phantom of Venice, Treasure in the Royal Tower, and Danger by Design. If you get stuck, go to uhshints.com for directions to solve the puzzles. You can get them at Amazon.com, Bigfishgames.com, and Herinteractive.com. Have fun!
